North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has told his South Korean counterpart that he wants to "complete denuclearization quickly and focus on economic development," according to the South Korean leader. 

North Korea on Friday returned the remains of what are believed to be U.S. servicemen killed during the Korean War, the White House said. A U.S military plane is making a rare trip from a U.S. base in South Korea to a coastal city in the North to retrieve the remains. 

U.S. officials are now planning for the summit between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to happen in Singapore, sources tell CBS News.  

President Trump and first lady Melania arrived early Thursday morning to greet three Americans as they flew into Joint Base Andrews, outside the U.S. capital, less than 24 hours after they were released by North Korea. 

President Trump tweeted early Wednesday that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is on his way back from North Korea with 3 American detainees. "They seem to be in good health.
